Celebrate World Biodiversity Day with colour and creativity.

To commemorate World Biodiversity Day, the UNDP Biodiversity Finance Initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, is planning a series of exciting and impactful activities aimed at raising awareness and celebrating Namibia’s rich biodiversity

Planned Activities Include:

  •  Drawing Competition 
  •  Open to primary and high school learners across the country. Video Submission Contest 
  • Open to the general public, encouraging creative storytelling on biodiversity. 

Winners for both competitions will be announced on World Biodiversity Day. Themed Roundtable Discussions Scheduled from 20–22 May during the evening hours. Will feature expert panelists and diverse speakers discussing key biodiversity issues. Mass Media Awareness Campaign Broadcasts on various radio and TV stations in multiple local languages. Newspaper editorials to engage wider audiences and spark public dialogue.
