SBSTTA-28 will support scientific, technical and technological advice under the Convention on Biological Diversity, including discussions linked to implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and preparation for COP17 in Yerevan.

To mark the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Acopian Center for the Environment is hosting a youth-focused workshop at the American University of Armenia on May 22, 2025. As Armenia prepares to host COP17 in 2026, this event highlights the vital role of young people in achieving global biodiversity goals.
