As a part of the World Biodiversity Day celebrations, ITU Bioblitz 2025 aims to build a bridge between local communities and experts, to raise awareness on biodiversity and promote conservation. "ITU Bioblitz 2025" aims to record as many species as possible living in ITU Ayazaga Campus in one day. Volunteers together with experts will observe and document the flora, fauna, and fungi species of the campus. This event will be held free of charge and will be open to any person interested in biodiversity. To mark the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Acopian Center for the Environment is hosting a youth-focused workshop at the American University of Armenia on May 22, 2025. As Armenia prepares to host COP17 in 2026, this event highlights the vital role of young people in achieving global biodiversity goals. Through presentations, youth-led sessions, interactive games, and a panel discussion, participants will explore the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), and how youth can lead meaningful action for nature.
