5th annual mass tree planting exercise.

The ILIYA YAME KWACHE FOUNDATION has been into mass tree planting annually since 2021. This year, from 7th June to 14th June, the tree planting campaig n will hold in five different towns in Michika, Uba, Adamawa State University Mubi, Lutheran University Demsa and Catholic Seminary Mayo Belwa. We will plant and distribute 100,000 drought resistant tree seedlings to members of the public . “Kore” University of Enna (Department of Humanities, Foreign Language and Education) will celebrate “International Day for Biodiversity 2025” with two events: 1) on 19th May, guided tour of the “Cozzo Matrice Archeological Site” (Enna, Italy); the tour, for the Primary Teacher Education students, aims to capture the various aspects of biodiversity and highlight the role that everyone must play to stop and reverse the loss of biodiversity by supporting the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the Sustainable Development Goals of 2030 Agenda. 2) on 21st May, guided tour of the Nature Reserve “Rossomanno-Grottascura-Bellia” (Enna, Italy) for the students of Lower Secondary Education at "S. G. Bosco-Europa” school of Barrafranca (EN). The students will play poems and act to raise people’s awareness of the value of biodiversity and promote responsible behavior.
